Trashcollective has cultivated a number of terms over the years as shorthand in our discussions. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but a good starting point.

Bad Nap

This is any nap that happens after 4:00 pm and lasts longer than two hours. it can make it nearly impossible to have a full night of sleep. It can also be oh, so enticing.

Mind Poison

When one’s mind is plagued by a thought, idea, romantic interest, bad conversation, etc. and unable to shake the circular thought pattern. The poison continues to preoccupy the person until it is resolved or the person is sufficiently distracted. Mind Poison is closely related to the concept of Psychic Damage.

Potato

A person who does not utilize a lot of processing power. Does not necessarily mean someone of low intelligence, but definitely someone who doesn’t think all that much (especially when they should).

Grouping term: Sack (i.e. a sack of potatoes)

Psychic Damage

In many ways, we often refer to the real world in the terms used in games. In this instance, we are discussing things that may impact our mental health by commenting on the damage it is causing us. When someone is taking psychic damage, they may need to recharge their psychic energy or do something that may lessen the impact of further psychic damage.

Trashcraft

The trade skill of utilizing trash in the construction of anything (could be art, tools, temporary/permanent shelters, food/drink receptacles, trash, etc.)

Trash [noun]

Usually utilized in place of brand names, but can also be used to describe something either positively or negatively. Depends greatly on context.

Wholesome Midwest©

An insular place to be largely avoided whenever possible. A place where memes and trends alike go to die.

This is a response when talking about death or dying. Used in similar context to ‘F’ in memes, but specifically meant to denote awareness of the writer to the importance of the journey of death. (only mildly cult-related, we promise)
