So there’s this whole Pandemic thing, right? And it’s completely changed life as we know it, at least for now right? Society hasn’t faced a global plague in 100 years. Well, if that weren’t bad enough there’s also a plague of Locusts in eastern Africa that has no comparison in the last 70 years. Crops will be decimated. People will have to move. Supply chains will break down. Food prices will rise, and nothing starts a war faster than that. What I’m saying is that history is happening all the time, and what we do today absolutely matters tomorrow. There will be consequences to what’s happening now. And those consequences will be a disaster for us all unless we get our shit together.
I actually do have faith that humanity is gonna make it. We’re pretty smart little apes. Societies always collapse. 1000 years ago the romans thought they were the height of civilization. And yet here a society exists from the ashes of the old one. Humanity will go on but…it will almlost certainly be at a terrible cost. UNLESS WE EAT THE RICH.
I know that’s a real quick way to turn people off. And I’ve been getting in to some metaphysical nonsense over here so if you’re tuned out I understand. But the rich collectively own the resources that we could use for the betterment of humanity if it weren’t treated like private property. Imagine a factory that makes bread. It’s owned by Rich Asshole1 who decides how the product of that factory is distributed. Under our current system he allocates it to those who are willing to pay the maximum possible price. But that means if you have no money you get no food. Instead, that bread factory could use its product to allocate bread to anyone who fucking needs it. Seems far fetched given where we are now. But I promise you money is fake and we as humans can do whatever the fuck we want.
Anyway, because the rich privately own so many resources and so much infrastructure it means they get to decide how it’s used. It doesn’t matter how you vote. When one person is allowed to own so much stuff they decide how it gets used since it is their perogative. And the rich, it would seem, have decided they are not going to use their resources for the betterment of humanity, and I think that’s pretty shitty of them. I’d sure like for them to choose to help pepople. But if they won’t I’m prepared to cut their fucking heads off. And I assure you I would hate to have to do that.
Anyway now I’m just rambling about capitalism and how little sense it makes and how cruel it is. Did you know your entire supply chain is drenched in blood? You haven’t eaten many avacados that no one was killed for. Most of the chocolate you’ve ever consumed was from child slavery that also despoiled the planet as forrests were cut down to make room for more cocoa. That water from nestle? Stolen from the ground while the community nearest the water source has nothing. Water should never be privatized. It’s heinous. Anyway your life in the United States is a product of a global network of exploitation and violence. It’s pretty disturbing actually, when you look beyond the veil. And need I mention Jeffry Epstein? The current President of the United States is a child rapist. So was Bill Clinton. Reality is so so harsh. And I have to ignore it to some extent every day just to function.
I literally couldn’t function without that system of exploitation. Society is engineered to be on the verge of collapse at all times in order to keep itself going. It’s like a bear trap behind you on a treadmill. Sometimes the rich get greedy and turn up the speed.
Anyway, in short the next century is going to be more brutal and violent than the last unless we get rid of capitalism. Capitalism caused climate change, which contributed significantly to the locust plague that will displace an untold number of people leading to a cascade of consequences. We can get rid of it. We can. And we have to. Or we’re dead.
